SNAP TO BLACK are proud to support education and are firm believers in
developing students’ skill base and understanding of technical theatre.
We have developed a comprehensive series of workshops to support teaching
staff delivering GCSE, AS, A-Levels and HND Drama and Theatre curriculum. We
support teachers in delivering the exam board syllabus by providing technical
workshops on subjects includinglighting, sound, stage management and makeup.
Our workshops are delivered by professionals currently working in the industry.
What better way for students to learn and be inspired than to be taught or share
experiences with industry experts, many of whom have international credits. |

The workshops aim to teach the importance of lighting and sound in performance
for enhancing scenery and settings, as well as creating mood and atmosphere.
They will be taught how to use technical equipment along with basic skills in a
range of available subjects, from sound and lighting design to theatrical makeup
and promptbook preparation. These skills will set students in good stead for a
career in the arts and present the wide range of roles they could pursue.
All workshops are practically taught with students gaining hands on experience.
The workshops can be taught as stand-alone to support the curriculum, ongoing
to enhancestudents’ technical knowledge or whilst working towards a production
to support a professional final performance.
